I have always wanted to travel to Egypt to see the pyramids. Has anyone ever been?

No I have never been to Egypt but hope to get their someday when the kids are grown. I have friends that went their and I seen the pictures. It looks beautiful and they say there is a ton to see and do in Egypt.

It's at the very top of my list of place I'd love to see soon. I have gathered up a lot of information and brochures. I want the hotel from which the pyramids are visible. I think that would be so very incredible! |

I do, but I'm not sure I can post it here... it's easy to google, though, so I'll just mention the name.. it's Le Méridien Pyramids hotel in Cairo. You'll know when you find their website because the photos will make you gasp.. it's so beautiful there.  |

Yes... I guess the worst part of seeing the pyramids from a hotel window and having those kinds of views is that it's very difficult to want to leave again. |

Thank you for the name of the hotel. I will have to check it out. I would love to stay where you can see the pyrimids from the hotel. I have heard they are beautiful at night when lit up.

I have not been to Egypt, but I'd really like to go. A couple of days ago I went to a lecture at my university where an archaeologist talked to us about his travels through Egypt and showed us some pictures. That made me really want to go!

Yes, they do light them up at night. I used to have a website where you could see them in real time. I will have to see if I can find that again. It was pretty neat to see.
