Gran Canaria offers such a wide variety of activities, that you are actually going to have a hard time choosing from them. But one of the favourites among most of those on holidays is windsurfing. You can hire the necessary equipment from the beach and could also get windsurfing classes, while the ocean water remains warm all year round, which saves you from worrying about the timing of your trip. If you are a windsurfing enthusiast, you will really enjoy Gran Canaria, as the winds in the island make it a windsurfing haven, which should not come as a surprise to you anyway, since Gran Canaria has been the venue to the World Windsurfing Championship.

Other than the popular windsurfing activity, there is no shortage of other water sports as well, and you can enjoy scuba diving, surfing, snorkelling, and water-skiing. You could even enjoy a ride on the pedalo or board the banana boat. Your holiday to Gran Canaria is also a great opportunity to take your fishing rods out, while you could also go for a sail.

Yes, windsurfing is a great sport. That is an adventure that is not to be missed when you have the chance of going at it. To me, among sports, golf is preferred. Though not an adventure sport or a quick one, it has some exciting times and requires great balance and technique.
