Hi, I know going on safari never guarantees a chance of seeing various animals but does anyone know exactly what the chances are of this? I'd hate to book and end up seeing nothing.

I really have no idea, but everybody that I have heard from has seen something on a safari. I know that I would be so disappointed if I saw nothing though.

I have some friends that have been on more than one safari and so far they have always seen something. I would think that the people that run them might know the best times to make sure that you see some animals.

If you're using one of the safari tour places, they surely know when you'll be able to see the wildlife, yes. I'm just thinking about how lousy a safari would be if we'd not get to actually see any of the wildlife... NOT good!

I would not be a happy camper to say the least if I didn't see anything. I wonder if their are better times then others? Like during mating season you might see more or less of a certain animal.

My mom and dad had a friend who went on a safari every year. And he always saw all kinds of things. In fact he took pictures and would show us, he saw all kinds of animals.

A good safari guide will be able to tell you where you will be most likely to see any wildlife I imagine.

That would completely royally suck if I paid for a safari and saw nothing. But again, like the others I would assume if the guide is a good one, then they would know when and where the animals would be visible.

I read an article recently that was talking about the minibuses you can rent for safari. The guides know a lot about where to go and they also keep in touch with the other guides. You can rent a car, too, but I really wouldn't want to do that. Too risky the way I look at it.

For me that is the only way to go on a safari is with a guide. I think you would have much more of a chance of seeing more when you have a guide.

Yes, then I will be sure to look into getting a good tour guide when I go on safari there. I want to make sure to get my money's worth.

I haven't personally been on one yet so I cannot give you an actual name. I can check with my friends that have been on one and see where they went through for you. I will let you know.
