If you've been on a safari, I'm curious to know which animals you got to see.

I haven't been on a safari yet, but I can tell you what I would like to see when I go. I would really like to see some type of wild cat, like a lion. I would also like to see zebras. Other than that, anything would be nice.

I love giraffes and lions. But I'd hate to get close to one of them.

Nope, I wouldn't want to get very close either. I wonder how many people actually get hurt on safaris, if they even do? That would be so scary, and I would feel so helpless.

I have never been on a safari, but I agree with the other poster, in that I do not want to see anything too up close especially lions or tigers.

I have not been on a safari yet, but am talking about going on one. But on the news today they showed a guy that was on a safari, and he showed a picture of two giraffis he saw fighting. They said they do that all the time to show who's the strongest. But said they always stop before they get hurt. It was interesting.

I have never saw two giraffes fight. I think in a way it would be interesting and in a way it would be a bit disturbing. I wonder if the giraffe's in the zoo in the US fight as well?

I would think that they might fight but then again if they are fighting due to mating they might have them seperated if they don't want them mating?
As for the question I have never been on a safari but I would love to see just about anything. It can be up close as long as they cannot really get to me.

When I saw it on tv they fight with there necks. And they do it to show who is the strongest. It was neat to see.

Might be interesting to see, but I'm sure I wouldn't want it going on while I was
on safari.   Smiley  I guess there would be nothing to do but let them go at it.

My boyfriend is a big Discovery Channel nerd, and he called me over to watch some giraffes fighting on tv. They fight with their necks and sometimes feet, and it looks way more violent than I thought. I think they usually do it for mating purposes, to see which would make the better mate. It's really interesting.

Does the "loser" just walk away, or do they fight to the death of one of them?   I'm still
sure I'd rather not see something like this while on safari.

It seems very interesting indeed. I wonder the same, if they fight til death or not. I would hope not.

If I'm going to see how fast something like an elephant can move, I sure hope that it would be
traveling in the *other* direction when I see it.   Smiley  I'm sure I wouldn't like to see elephants
running *toward* me!   Grin
