Hm, interesting. I have never been and am trying to compare a few places. By parks to you mean actual parks or amusement?

I have friends that have been to Tanzania and from what I can see there is a lot to do. I know last time they went they took a great scuba diving tour and I do believe that there are safaris you can go on in Tanzania.

I'd have to think that Kilimanjaro and the Kilimanjaro National Park would be among
the top attractions in the area.

You're right, I forgot all about Kilimanjaro National Park. I cannot remember but is that an active volcano still or not? Thanks

I don't really know if it's active any longer or not, but I sure wish I'd be into mountain climbing because
that would *definitely* be one that I'd want to be able to claim.

Kilimanjaro really sounds interesting and so does the scuba diving. Do you know if they charge a fee to see Kilimanjaro? And how much would it cost to go scuba diving?

I'm pretty sure there's a park fee for Kilimanjaro, yes.  And if I'm not mistaken, it was raised
pretty much over the last few years.  Diving... well it's a lot less if you already know how to dive,
but if you don't, you can get lessons right there.  It will be at least $100 for the basics but if
you want an open water course or something on that level, it will be several hundred.

I have heard that there is plenty to do in Tanzania. My friend were there and they said they liked it just as well as Kenya. And they are planning on going back.

I do believe the Kilimanjaro National Park is free. I remember someone saying that you can camp on the mountain and they do have trails for the beginner climber if I remember correctly.

The first thing I'd want to do is check to see what kinds of wildlife I'd be sharing that
mountain space with.  According to the answer, I'd decide whether it's a good idea to
do or not.   Smiley

So the park is free? I am not sure I would want to camp amongst the animals in Tanzania. Seem a bit too risky for me.

It is not free, no.  Children under 5 are free.  It's been raised and is now $60 (USD) for
24 hour entry.  Chilldren between age 5 and 16 can get in for $10 each.
