What are your reasons to pick Tanzania for a holiday destination?

What are your reasons to pick Tanzania for a holiday destination?

For me, the main reason would be that although it's a pretty big tourist destination, it's
not *as* big as someplace like Nairobi.  I'm not really a crowds type of person, so if I
can get my things like a safari elsewhere, that's most likely what I'll choose.

That's a good URL... I just checked some of it out and there are a lot a great activities listed.
I think I'd want to make sure to see Stone Town for one thing... I hadn't heard of that before.

I will have to check the link out. I am curious as to what Stone Town is? I have never heard about this on any of the things I have read about places to visit in Africa.

Tanzania is one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa. In fact if you are thinking of an African Safari around January february don't thiink Kenya's masai mara but rather think serengeti because at at that time that is where the action is.

I love Kenya but i would say that Tanzania is equally beautiful if not unique. Again the country is huge and has a lot to offer in terms of culture and landscape.

One thing i would like to add is that a Tanzania Safari is a bit more expensive compared to a Kenyan Safari besides tanzania recently increased their tourist visa fee from $50 to $100

Tanzania has better parks in Kenya though Kenya does more aggressive marketing making Kenya more popular. Another good destination to visit is Zanzibar which is rich in cultural history
